Antique Fine Iranian Mahal Rug circa 1890

A very fine antique Mahal room size carpet, delicate, all over field design woven in many natural colours on rare ivory ground flanked by very unusual mauve borders. A particularly colourful and pretty example with fine white wefts. The piece is offered in excellent, almost original condition, the lightest of wear and just one or two tiny old repairs, deep cleaned and floor ready. Circa 1890
